Chanel N°5 embodies unparalleled feminine charm. It features a classic bottle with minimalist lines, carries the essence of a sensual and elegant abstract floral bouquet, and stands as a timeless, eternal fragrance.
In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel collaborated with perfumer Ernest Beaux to create “a perfume that smells like a woman.” From the perfume formulas developed, Ms. Chanel selected the 5th sample and retained this number as the fragrance’s name. She chose a sleek bottle for this new perfume, adorned with a white label and a diamond-faceted cap.
In 1986, Jacques Polge honored the iconic olfactory legacy of Ernest Beaux’s original N°5. He reimagined and reinterprets it, launching a refined version of N°5 with richer, more layered notes.
